Woman assaulted and has phone stolen while walking down Wisbech street

A woman was pushed to the floor, assaulted and had her mobile stolen while walking down a street in Wisbech.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking along Elm High Road at about 3am on Saturday April 4 when she was pushed to the floor by a man. The man then assaulted her and stole her mobile phone. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

A man in his 20s from the Wisbech area has been arrested in connection with the incident and is on police bail pending further enquiries until May 14.
