THE Wisbech Youth Council is proving yet again that young people can make a difference.
A group of them have formed a working party to organise a float for the annual Rose Fair in Wisbech.
The Rose Fair is set to take place from July 2 to 5 and the float parade on Saturday July 4, based on the theme of music through the ages.
Already the efforts of the youth council have struck a chord with a number of organisations who have pledged their support.
These include Centre 4, the new Youth Centre for Wisbech; Connexions and Wisbech Town Council who sponsor the Wisbech Youth Council.
TM Logistics have pledged a curtain-side lorry trailer, driver and insurance.
Wisbech 14-19 Centre have promised help with preparing the float decorations; and Thomas Clarkson Community College will help with publicity.
The working party for the Youth Council pictured here have agreed a number of things to make the float - but that will remain a secret.
This year Wisbech Town Council also agreed to contribute 500 to provide more park and ride facilities.

Any young people who would like to come along to the youth council meetings or to get involved with the Rose Fair should contact Erbie Murat or Susanah Farmer on 01945 461333.
