SENTENCING of a Wisbech woman for causing unnecessary suffering to a German shepherd dog was adjourned for four weeks by Fenland magistrates on Friday.

Joanna Light, of Southwell Road, admitted causing suffering to the dog by failing to provide it with an adequate diet, at a hearing last month.

The court was told Light, 25, attended a meeting with the probation office, but attended with her son - contravening health and safety regulations at the office.

Light will now be sentenced on February 13.
