Wisbech woman left housebound after thieves steal her mobility scooter

A WOMAN has been left housebound after her mobility scooter was stolen.

Thieves slashed their way through a canvas cover to steal the Shoprider Sovereign scooter from Chapel Street, Wisbech.

The theft occurred between noon on Monday and 12.45pm the following day.

Pc Martin Calvert, investigating, said: “This theft has caused the victim a lot of inconvenience because she relies on the scooter to get out and about.”
