The Wisbech U3A’s monthly meeting was held at St Peter’s Church Hall on Thursday August 10.
The meeting was hosted by Jeff Elliott who introduced the speaker Marianne Killick. She gave an extremely interesting and informative talk on acupuncture.
This covered the history and application of acupuncture, the attitude of the medical profession over the years and various scientific investigations into the practice.
Jeff also reminded members that the September meeting was an ‘open’ event and anyone who wants to know more about the U3A can come and check out all the activities which will be displayed there.
The open meeting takes place at St Peter’s Church Hall on Thursday September 14 starting at 2.30pm.

Coffee mornings are held at Octavia View Cafe on most Friday mornings (please check with one of the U3A members) from 10am to 12 midday.
This is a good chance for anyone interested in the U3A to meet informally and chat to members.
