TWO people were arrested after a police pursuit this morning in Wisbech, in connection with a burglary at a business near Littleport.

Country Vehicles, in Pymore, was broken into shortly after midnight this morning. Intruders were disturbed and made off in a getaway vehicle.

Police on patrol in the Wisbech area later attempted to pull over a vehicle suspected to have been used in the burglary, but it failed to stop.

There was a brief pursuit, also involving the force helicopter and a dog unit, which ended in Kirkham's Lane, near Elm, where the car stopped and its occupants got out.

Two people, a 26-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested and taken to Wisbech Police Station where they remain in custody.
