A successful town twinning association will next year celebrate 50 years since forming.
The Wisbech/Arles Twinning Association are looking at potential ideas to celebrate the event which includes a Rugby match between Wisbech Grammar School and an Arles team.
There are also plans to send a French photographer to capture the Wisbech Arts Festival next year.
Councillor David Hodgson and his wife Judy met the Arles Twinning President Jean-Claud Marchesseau, and Councillor Florence Rivas, who runs twinning for the Arles council, to discuss anniversary events during a meeting at Arles Town Hall.
David and Judy toured the town and the Carmargue area with friends John and Trish Wilcox, and all are keen to help revive the twinning club.
If you would like to join the Wisbech/Arles Twinning Club or be involved with the 50th Anniversary events, please contact Councillor David Hodgson at fen.country@sky.com or via Wisbech Town Council.
