WISBECH: Three men in custody after police officer is threatened with handgun

THREE men are in custody on suspicion of firearms offences after a police officer was threatened with a handgun during an incident last night.

Two police officers approached three men in Bedford Street, Wisbech - close to the town's police station - at 11.15pm following an incident.

While dealing with the incident, one of the men threatened an officer with a handgun.

The men then ran off and were arrested a few minutes later. One of the men was arrested in St Augustine's Road and the other two were arrested in Chase Street.

The three men, aged 19, 21 and 26, remain in custody in Huntingdon Police Station.
