A Wisbech teenager walking home from a party was attacked, robbed of his mobile phone and trainers, viciously beaten, urinated on and left semi-conscious in the street.

Jack Green is now recovering at home after his mother screamed in horror when she checked his room in the early hours of Saturday and found him caked in blood and dirty.

Jack, 16, who is studying plumbing at the College of West Anglia, has no recollection of getting home and only when his mother awoke him did the full extent of the earlier attack begin to dawn.

His mother Tammy immediately called 999 and an ambulance took him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at King’s Lynn. Jack has a broken nose, black eyes, multiple cuts and bruises to his face, ribs, bruised arms, and bruised legs.

“I screamed the house down when I saw him like that,” Mrs Green said today. “Jack didn’t know he’d been beaten up – somehow he got home and staggered into bed but has no recollection whatsoever of what happened.”

Police are now working with the family to try and find out what happened after Jack left a party in Elizabeth Terrace, Wisbech, on Friday night to walk home.

Mrs Green says they exchanged text messages at 11pm and Jack was aware he needed to be home by midnight.

His mother says she didn’t wait up for him but awoke at 4.15am “and looked in on him and then realised he was covered in blood.”

“I said to Jack ‘you’ve been beaten up’ but he couldn’t remember a thing about what had happened to him,” she says.

She said “it looks as if he had curled up in a ball on his right side to protect himself from the blows”.

Mrs Green says he walked home in just his socks after his trainers had been stolen and his gold coloured iphone 7 had also been stolen.

“They never got a gold chain as his jumper covered it up,” she said. “But when I checked his jeans they stank of urine and were covered in it. Jack’s boxers were stone dry so it’s obvious what happened as they left him on the ground.”

Mrs Green, of Sefton Avenue, says her own inquiries suggest Jack left the party alone and walked across the dual carriageway to head home. She says the last thing Jack remembers his meeting a friend in Norwich Road but after that he has no recollection of the gruesome events that unfolded.

“I’m asking if anyone has seen or heard any information about this please contact us or the police,” she said.

“This has happened between Norwich Road, Money Bank, Mount Drive and back home at Sefton Avenue.

“Please help catch these scummy people that need to be taught a lesson. Jack was simply minding his own business and walking home from a party.”

Mrs Green says she has been in contact with a family after a similar attack on October 20 at the Clarkson Avenue junction with Norwich Road. A young man going to work at 5am was attacked from behind by hooded assailants and suffered extensive facial injuries and bruises.
