TWO Wisbech Grammar School students shone in the regional round of a foreign language spelling bee competition.
Charlotte Brett finished third in the German competition and Amanda Schrem reached the semi-finals in the French section of the east regional round of the Routes into Languages Foreign Language Spelling Bee contest at Hinchingbrooke School.
German specialist Genevieve Tibbett and French expert Elvira Baranova also represented Wisbech Grammar School, which was up against 17 other schools.
Year seven students have been meeting every week at school to pit their German and French spelling skills against each other with the help and guidance of sixth form language students Amy-Hope Steele and Molly Anne Sutton.
