The Wisbech branch of Save the Children is celebrating after totalling the money raised across two days at the Parson Drove Car and Bike Show.
A total of £431 was raised on the Save the Children stall where they had games such as pick a bottle, pick a toy and a tombola.
Organisers dubbed it “another profitable event” which was followed up by more profits made during Wisbech’s Rock Festival in Wisbech Park.
A spokesman said: “We had a children’s cuddly toy tombola where the teddies etc had names, a normal tombola and sold DVDs, CDs and records.”
They raised a total of £172.18.
Save the Children was founded in London in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb and her sister, Dorothy Buxton. In the century since then, Save the Children organisations have been established in 29 nations around the world.
Globally, Save the Children’s workforce is made up of around 24,000 staff working in more than 120 countries, of which just over 16,000 are employed by Save the Children International (SCI), with around 8,000 staff employed by the 29 members of Save the Children.
