A recruitment agency from Wisbech joined forces with a King’s Lynn cake maker to raise almost £500 for Tapping House, West Norfolk Hospice.
Cake makers Smart Cakes donated 400 cakes to the cause. Rapid Recruitment staff then visited more than 40 businesses in the Wisbech area and sold cakes to peckish staff.
Their efforts raised £487 for the hospice, which supports people with a range of life-limiting conditions, including Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson’s.
A Tapping House spokesman said: “Only 10 per cent of the Hospice’s funding comes from the NHS, so any support the hospice receives is much needed and appreciated.”
