STAFF and residents of Glennfield Care Centre, a newly-opened facility for the elderly in Wisbech, bridged the generation gap with a seasonal gift of Easter eggs.
The eggs were presented to the children who visit the next-door Ormiston Centre. Ormiston is East Anglia's leading children's charity, offering fun activities to teenage parents and their children, plus 150 young carers from across the region.
In total, 200 eggs were handed out to excited youngsters as residents and staff from Glennfield and families from Ormiston looked on.
Sandra Frayne, manager at Ormiston said: "The children are absolutely thrilled with this Easter surprise.

Glennfield staff plan to work closely with Ormiston in the future with a programme of fundraising under discussion and more visits from the children being planned.
