The Wisbech Players notched up a handful of successes at the Hunstanton drama festival of one act plays last week.
Ian Jones walked away with the award for best actor for his role as Inspector Monroe in Searching for Dr Branovic and Neil Staveley directed and acted in the winning play, Orphans.
Wendy Coles who played Emma Tyler in Searching for Dr Branovic was nominated for best actress and the play, directed by Chris Smith, was one of two which were commended.
Eight actors took part in the two plays which they performed on Saturday in front of a panel of adjudicators.
The group’s next production will be The Flint Street Nativity by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls) in November which will see adult actors play children.
