HATSTAND Opera is back in Wisbech this Saturday, to entertain and delight with "Golden Moments from Opera".

Hatstand Opera specialise in 'the best bits' from opera, the tunes you know from adverts and can hum along with even if you've never been to an opera in your life.

They will be at St Peter and St Paul's Church at 7.30pm.

Director Kirsty Young is particularly thrilled to be returning to Wisbech.

"This lovely town was such a surprise when we first performed here, we had no idea it was such a gem," she said.

"We are also very honoured to be invited back by the Mayor of Wisbech Councillor Mrs Yvonne Lawrence, who has enjoyed our shows before so knows how much fun a Hatstand show is.

"As a company who regularly perform for the UK Armed Forces too, we are glad that the performance will benefit the Mayor's chosen charity, the Royal Anglian regiment."

Tickets for the performance are available from Wisbech Town Hall on 01945 461333.
