A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious but not life threatening injuries when he became trapped under the rear axle of a lorry in a road collision.
The collision happened in Cromwell Road, Wisbech, at 12.35am Wednesday, and saw fire crews use heavy lifting equipment to release the rider.
Cromwell Road was closed to traffic while emergency services carried out the rescue.
The motorcyclist was given medical assistance by fire-fighters and was taken to hospital.
A police spokeswoman said the motorcyclist's injuries are "serious but not life threatening".
