WISBECH mayor, Jonathan Farmer and his wife joined with Church Together chairperson Major Robert Smart in welcoming the annual visit of Student Cross to Wisbech.
In his address the mayor complimented the mostly young group for their good humour, despite having walked about 20 miles on Tuesday and urged them to have a look at the sights of Wisbech.
Major Smart joined in the welcome stating "it is so refreshing to see young people willing to publicly declare their faith."
Fr. Fabian, a Dominican priest who was participating in his 22nd pilgrimage to Walsingham paid tribute to the tremendous welcome they always receive in Wisbech
