A man in his 60s was knocked unconscious when he was struck by a falling tree he was helping to cut down in Walton Highway, near Wisbech.
Emergency services were called to Blunts Drove just before 9am yesterday10 to reports that a man had suffered a head injury.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) and a Magpas air ambulance attended the incident.
An EEAST spokesman said: “We received a call to a report of a man being struck by a falling tree. We attended the scene to find the man was conscious and breathing.
“He was treated at the scene before being taken by land ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn for further treatment. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.”
