A MAN has been assaulted in Wisbech after telling two assailants he had no money.
The incident happened in the early hours of May 2 in Townshend Road and the junction with Tavistock Road.
A police spokesman said two white males, in their teens and wearing hooded tops, stopped another man and demand money.
"When he said he had none , he has been struck on the head with an unknown implement causing a cut requiring stitches," said the spokesman.
