A MAN was mugged by a group of youths as he walked through Wisbech Park.

The 30-year-old victim was in the park at about midnight, on Thursday, and was walking along the path near Lynn Road when he approached a group of six youths.

They blocked his way and demanded he hand over the content of his pockets.

He gave them a wallet containing cash, while one of the youths reached into his pocket and took his mobile phone.

The group walked off in the direction of Townsend Road.

The victim later found his wallet, but the cash had been taken.

One of the robbers was described as white, in his late teens, about 5ft 7inches, with stubble. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.

The other five also wore hooded tops, were white and in their late teens.
