MAGISTRATES sent 23-year-old Lee Riley to jail for six weeks after hearing that he had breached the terms of his suspended sentence.
That sentence had required Riley to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work -- but he admitted missing two sessions.
“Most of his absences were due to him working, but he has since lost his job,” Fenland magistrates were told by solicitor John Clarke. “He is now free most of the time, so could complete the hours.”
Riley, of Bath Road, Wisbech, was given his suspended sentence back in December of last year for a public order offence.
