A MAN accused of the manslaughter of Peter Kofie appeared before Wisbech Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, August 18).
John Anthony Muffett, 33, of Pickards Way, Wisbech, is accused of unlawfully killing Mr Kofie in Wisbech on August 8.
Dressed in a navy sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms, Muffett apppeared in custody in the dock at Wisbech courthouse and spoke only to confirm his name and address and to say that he understood the charge.
Because the allegation is so serious, he was sent to be dealt with at Cambridge Crown Court.
No application for bail was made and he was remanded in custody.
