A MAN is due to appear in court after being charged in connection with a fatal road collision.

Roger Coleman, 46, from Thetford, Norfolk, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and will appear before Wisbech magistrates on August 12.

The charge relates to a crash between a lorry and a car on the B1166, at its junction with Seadyke Bank, at Wisbech St Mary, on January 24 this year.

Derrick John Simmonds, 78, of Main Road, Parsons Drove, Wisbech, who was driving the car involved in the crash, died from his injuries.
