Wisbech Lions Club peace poster competition (Image: Archant)
The Wisbech Lions club’s international peace poster competition has received more than 500 entries.
The large amount of entries comes after the club approached eight local schools in the town and surrounding villages.
The winning entries (1st, plus two highly commended) at each school received vouchers and certificates and each school received a framed certificate of participation.
First place from each school will enter the district competition.
Tesco Extra in Wisbech is displaying the winning entries for one week where the public
will be able to vote for the winning school to receive a trophy donated by Wisbech Lions Club.
