WISBECH in Bloom this year has agreed to host and support Anglia in Bloom in its launch of the Anglia in Bloom competition on Friday.

Anglia in Bloom and Wisbech in Bloom will be marking the occasion with the planting of a tree in St Peter's Church Gardens to mark the launch of the 2009 campaign. As part of the occasion some lucky visitors to the gardens will also be handed flowers to celebrate the launch.

If you want to attend turn up at noon for the ceremony.

During the Summer Anglia in Bloom judges will be out and about visiting villages, towns and cities in the region assessing their entry in the 2009 competition. Entrants will be judged on their efforts to promote sustainability, their involvement with the community, care for the environment and horticultural excellence.

The winners in the various categories will be announced at the grand awards ceremony to be held in September this year.
