THE Horsefair Shopping Centre celebrates its 20th anniversary next week, with a day of fun and activities for all the family.

Fairground rides, face painting, a bouldering-climbing wall and a Horse Hunt window competition make up some of the activities at the Wisbech shopping centre next Friday.

For younger shoppers, there is a special birthday show from Mr Rainbow at 11am and 1pm. He will be joined by his friends Kenny Kangaroo and Marilyn the Pelican.

In addition, Custard the Clown will be clowning around for shoppers - and there is a karaoke and disco.

Activities will run from 10am-2pm. Most activities are free for children to join in with, and some additional attractions will carry a small cost.

Horsefair manager, Kevin Smith, said: "We want to celebrate the fact that we've been a successful shopping centre and the heart of the community for 20 years."

"All the staff at the centre are really proud to be celebrating this momentous event."

The Horsefair was built in the 1980s and was opened by television star Noel Edmunds in 1988. Hundreds of people brought the town to a standstill for the occasion.
