A HAIR salon owner has presented a cheque for nearly �2,000 to a cancer charity after raising money as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Linda Pepper, who opened VIP Hair on Kirkgate Street, Walsoken, six years ago, gave the cheque for �1,770 to representatives of Macmillan Cancer Care after the salon took part in the September event.
She said: “As usual, the salon team were busy with their normal Friday clientele and we relied on the helpers who made coffee, sold cakes and raffle tickets and looked after the visitors.
“Because we are so busy in the salon, the coffee morning is held outside and we were so pleased it was a very warm day so everyone could enjoy an al fresco coffee and cake.”
