AN award-winning campaign encouraging young male drivers to drive safely this Valentines Day will visit a Fenland School.
The "For My Girlfriend" campaign visits Wisbech Grammar School on Friday February 12, just before the most romantic day of the year for couples.
Chris Strickland, Deputy Chief Fire Officer for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "It's a sad fact that more girls die as passengers than as drivers.
"These events have two aims, firstly to make young male drivers think about the consequences of showing off, speeding, having an extra drink or taking drugs while their girlfriend is in the passenger seat and secondly to encourage girls to speak out and tell their male friends and boyfriends to slow down.
