A teacher at Wisbech Grammar School has been mingling with food experts at a major conference at The Excel in London.
Head of food and nutrition Alison Sloan attended Food Matters Live, a conference bringing together 80 leading figures from government, industry, science and health with top commentators and chefs.
At one of the sessions, ‘Nourishing the next generation’, Mrs Sloan shared ideas with broadcaster and cookery writer Prue Leith, who has been awarded the CBE.
Mrs Sloan said: “I think it is pretty important that as a school we are talking to high-profile people who are campaigning for the teaching of food in schools.”
