Young Gabriella from Wisbech has had a visit from Santa and his Lions again after an arrangement made last year on her ‘Santa surprise visit’.

Gabriella is dependent on a ventilator after having a tetralogy of fallot repair operation - this can make leaving the house in the winter impossible.

She now suffers with bronchomalacia, which is weak cartilage in the walls of the bronchial tubes and only has one lung – on top of it all Gabriella also suffers from scimitar syndrome, a rare condition in the lung.

Toni Bird, local Tesco community champion, heard of Santa’s visit and provided Christmas presents for Gabriella and her two sisters.

Tom and Amie, parents, said: “It means the world to us that Santa could visit Gabriella because she isn’t always able to leave the house during winter months.

“To see all three children’s faces together at the same time while seeing Santa is amazing - it’s just little things like this that make us so happy because we have been through a lot as a family”

Toni said “It’s a real pleasure for Tesco to be involved in making this Christmas so very special for Gabriella and her family. Merry Christmas from everyone at Tesco”
