WISBECH: Five banned from town pubs as part of Pubwatch scheme for verbal and physical abuse

FIVE people have been banned from the 34 pubs in Wisbech s Pubwatch scheme.The scheme was set up on July 25 and includes pubs in the town and surrounding villages.The four men and one woman were banned after they verbally and physically abused landlords

FIVE people have been banned from the 34 pubs in Wisbech's Pubwatch scheme.

The scheme was set up on July 25 and includes pubs in the town and surrounding villages.

The four men and one woman were banned after they verbally and physically abused landlords. In one incident a landlord suffered an injury.

PCSO Sue Clarke, who was responsible for setting up Pubwatch, said: "All licensees have a legal duty to ensure that disorderly, argumentative and violent behaviour does not occur on their premises and to help prevent crime.

"As a result of these five individuals' behaviour, the licensees of Wisbech pubwatch have jointly decided they are exercising their right to ban them from their premises."
