LARGE quantities of drugs and cash were seized today from a flat in Wisbech after a dawn raid by police.

One man was arrested and two others are being held for questioning after police forced their way into the first floor flat in Kinderley Road.

Fifteen officers - including specialist from the county's drugs force- took part in a 7am briefing at Wisbech Police Station before mounting the raid some 40 minutes later.

Officers were acting on a tip off from a member of the public and the raid follows a high profile appeal through this newspaper for informants by sector inspector Robin Sissons.

He revealed that in recent weeks more than 30 letters- most of them written anonymously- outlining residents' suspicions of where drug dealing is happening in the town.

More follows shortly.
