A SATELLITE navigation system stolen from an unmarked police car was sold on the black market for £20.
Scott Spencer was invited to buy the stolen gadget for £80, but knocked the seller down to get himself a bargain, Fenland magistrates were told.
Spencer, 23, of Elizabeth Terrace, Wisbech, admitted receiving stolen goods, and possessing cannabis on October 10.
"He doesn't know who stole it," solicitor John Clarke told the court. "He didn't really want it, so beat the seller down to £20. He had a suspicion it was stolen, he was going to use it himself, and put it in his own car."
Spencer was fined a total of £125 and told to pay £60 costs and a £15 surcharge.
