College of West Anglia hair and beauty students’ coffee and cakes bring in the cash for Macmillan
Hair and beauty students at the College of West Anglia’s Wisbech campus brewed up a fundraising storm last week to raise money for Macmillan.
The youngsters brought in a range of baked treats including donuts, cupcakes, tarts and sponges which they then sold to raise money as part of the charity’s annual coffee morning fundraising effort.
And it was a big success as an impressive £112.45 was raised for the cancer charity.
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest fundraising event, with almost £30 million raised last year.
The first ever event was held in 1990 and since then it has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan.
