Prepare to be spooked in an interactive Halloween trip designed to send a shiver down your spine in Wisbech Castle.
The Castle Of The Dead event is a new scare attraction being run to raise funds for the for much needed restoration work as part of the Wisbech Castle Project.
A team of actors are busy preparing for tours that take place over three nights in the run up to Halloween.
The tour will be taken by groups of between five and nine people.
A tour spokesman said: “Because there will be dark areas, steps and uneven ground due to the nature of the event, it is recommended that guests are physically able to move unaided around the terrain in shadowy conditions.
“Some of the event will take place outside. Please dress suitably for cold or wet weather.
“There will be live actors. They will interact with you, but it is just for fun. They will not touch you and you must not touch them.”
The tour will take about 15-20 minutes, followed by refreshments inside the Castle where you can enjoy watching the next group face the horrors over a nice cup of hot chocolate and a cupcake.
Entry is by pre-purchased ticket only for a specific hourly time slot.
Funsters are advised to arrive five minutes early, as latecomers cannot be guaranteed access.
• The event is open between 6pm and 9pm on Thursday October 25 and Friday 26. Tickets are £5 each. Minimum age is 11 years and all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. People of a nervous disposition are advised not to attend.
