CADETS from 272 (Wisbech) Squadron braved the wet weather to take part in the sector Banner Drill competition held at the Wisbech Squadron’s Headquarters.
The Banner Party, made up of Cadet Flight Sergeant Oli Grocott and Cadets Maddie Callaghan, Emma Clarke, Josh Loosemore and Ryan Newman, came second to 1220 (March) Squadron, which was particularly impressive since all but one of the team were new to the competition.
The cadets just missed out on qualification for the Wing event and have vowed to work even harder to improve on their finishing place when they compete next year.
Cadet Emma Clarke, 15, said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the Banner Competition this year.
“We tried our hardest and I’m really pleased with the result.”
