WHEN Maria Francis, of the Maria Helena Home for the Elderly at Gedney Dawsmere, arrived at Wisbech's Asda supermarket to do the main Christmas shopping, she soon discovered she faced a major problem.
How was all that extra Christmas fare going to fit in the car?
With 10 full trolley loads, it would certainly be a struggle.
However, with some trepidation, Maria and her helper Maxine Stanojevic, plus several members of Asda staff, were determined not to be defeated.
Our picture shows some of the trolleys, plus the bread ration, ready for loading, with Maria and Maxine third and second from the right, together with Asda staff.
And yes, it finally all fitted in.
