POLICE confirmed today that it was a teenager has died after the car she was driving was found in a fenland drain near Welney last night.
Emergency services were called after the Ford KA was found on its roof in the Old Croft River on the A1101 Wisbech Road in Welney, at around 5pm.
The incident happened 200m north of the Wisbech Road junction with Chestnut Avenue.
Police confirmed there was one person in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
