A TERRIFIED man has been telling police of his ordeal at the hands of three intruders who broke into his home, beat him up, and made off with a large amount of cash.

The incident happened on Monday between 8.30pm and 9.30pm at Wheatley Bank, Walsoken.

"The offenders stole a substantial sum of money and made off in what is described as a mid blue coloured van which was transit sized," said a police spokesman.

Norfolk Police are handling the investigation and have appealed for information.

"The male victim was asleep in his home when three males entered the property and viciously assaulted him whilst demanding cash," said the spokesman.

Police are keen to speak to members of the public who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between the times stated; from anyone who saw the van in the area or from anyone with information in relation to the offenders.
