WALPOLE HIGHWAY: Eighty young footballers collect awards at prize giving

Walpole Celebrate Another Successful Season

Walpole Youth Football Club celebrated another successful season with a Presentation Night generously sponsored by RES.  Nearly 300 people crammed into the Walton Highway Club to see presentations to 80 young footballers.  Top award of the night, the prestigious Club Player of the Year, went to Michael Smith, the star goalie for the under 12's.  Players aged from 7 to 16 enjoyed the night, which ended with the traditional disco.

The club is now actively recruiting new players for the next season.  Anyone interested in joining the club are encouraged to attend the club training nights, every Wednesday throughout the summer from 6 - 7pm on the Springfield Road Playing Fields in Walpole St Andrew, or contact Brian Alabaster on 01945 780606, or Ken Shelton on 01945 780643.
