A MOTORIST was grabbed by the throat and threatened following an incident in Wisbech.

The victim, a 61-year-old man, had just pulled out onto Leverington Road when a small silver hatchback car drove past, the driver of which gestured towards him.

The man driving the other car stopped but the victim overtook him. He then overtook him and stopped again, this time sharply, causing the victim to stop.

Both men got out of their vehicles opposite Yori-S Tyres, in Sandyland, and exchanged words before the man grabbed the victim by his throat, pushed him onto the bonnet of his car and threatened him.

The victim managed to return to his vehicle, where he was abused again by the man before both drove off along Lynn Road.

The attacker was described as white, 40 to 50, 5'10" to 5'11", short black cropped hair with some grey, large build, and was wearing a green T-shirt and light shorts. He also had a child in the front passenger seat of his car.
