The vehicle is believed to have been a Nissan Micra and the damage was caused between 5pm on Saturday, March 1, and noon the next day, at Gorefield Playing Field, in Wolf Lane, Gorefield.

Concrete fence posts were damaged where the car was driven onto the field and the vehicle was also driven into a tree, where it lost its front grill, before it was driven from the scene.

"I would also urge anyone who has seen, or been asked to repair, a damaged Nissan Micra to get in touch."

Anyone with information should contact PC Sleaford on 0845 456 456 4, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
