A ground-breaking app that is set to take the grind out of growing has been unveiled at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House in Wisbech.
The Farmbot, which is new to the UK and is being developed and distributed by TVA G&C Limited of Downham Market, was the centrepiece of a technology showcase at a free open day at the museum, which attracted 50 participants.
There were talks by Julian Snape, managing director, on the future of technology, and by local resident and author, Anthony Carter, who spoke about his days photographing the giants of motor racing, including Fangio, Graham Hill and John Surtees, before high security measures intervened.
The specialist exhibitions and lectures will be a feature next year and Mr Carter will be returning to Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House next month, on Sunday August 13, to give people a second opportunity to see his photographic exhibition and to hear him speak.
