TWENTY-six arrests were made across Fenland yesterday as some of the district's senior officers went back on the beat.
Members of senior management helped carry out arrest warrants to keep in touch with officers on the front line across Central Division.
The arrests, in Wisbech and March, were made in connection with crimes including theft, drugs, burglary, assault and criminal damage.
Det Chief Insp Ian Tandy said: "Senior officers all commented on how much they enjoyed the day and how useful it was to be involved at the front end of policing.
"It was great to see the team work between uniformed officers and CID which led to such a large number of arrests.
