DUTCH based Partner Logistics are back on track to complete their 8.7 million, 20,500 square metre cold store in Wisbech that will create 130 jobs.

The Boleness Road site, sold to the company by Fenland District Council, sprawls an eight site off the A47 and the contract was started originally by Wrekin Construction before it went into administration.

Storage capacity at the new plant is now 77,000 pallets having been increased by 14,000 pallets during the planning stage. It will store and distribute frozen food which will be delivered to one of three 'goods in' docks.

From this point the pallets are automatically transported by conveyor and robotic cranes to a storage slot ready for onward distribution.
