Students’ hard work and academic success was rewarded at Marshland High School’s annual prize giving ceremony.
Honoured guests, which included the Mayor of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, Cllr David Whitby and ex-Marshland student and now project manager for JCB, Matthew Ward, spoke as students from all year groups were praised for their top efforts during the academic year on November 10.
Headteacher Liz Dormor spoke of her pride at the school’s GCSE results, which put them in the top 19 per cent of schools nationally for progress 8, and she also reminded students to “continue to aim high and never settle for second best.”
Rebecca Sedgwick won the Mayor of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s award for achievement, while Katrina Nalivaiko won the governor’s award for achievement.
