HAVING tinted car windows that were too dark landed motorist Adam Bourn with a £50 fine.
Regulations say a car window must allow 70 per cent of light through, but two windows of Bourn's Vauxhall Astra allowed only 32 per cent of light to pass.
Bourn, 22, of Langhorns Lane, Outwell, was convicted of the offence in absence by Fenland magistrates on Tuesday.
He was further convicted of using the car on June 21 without a licence, insurance or an MoT test certificate.
Those offences attracted more fines and costs, totalling £335, and six points were endorsed on his licence.
