Children from Tilney All Saints Primary School and their sister school at Walpole St Peter (Anthony Curton Primary School) started their celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday by dressing in red, white and blue, investigating the origins of the union jack and learning the national anthem.

The children from both schools will be hosting families’ picnics and games on May 13, and the celebrations will culminate in a joint church service for both school communities at Walpole St Peter’s Church on June 28.

Bishop Stephen of Ely has agreed to attend the service, which will be planned and led by Year 6 children from both schools.

An afternoon of games and picnics will follow for all families in the grounds of Tilney All Saints Primary School.
