Three arrests after baseball bat, axe handle and cannabis found today in car stopped by police in Wisbech

Two men and a woman were arrested in Wisbech today after drugs and offensive weapons – including an axe handle – were found in their car.

Police say they stopped a “suspicious vehicle” in the early hours of today and carried out a check of the occupants and the contents.

“The occupants were spoken to and grounds to search them and the vehicle established,” said a police spokesman.

“A baseball bat, an axe handle and a quantity of cannabis were seized and two males and a female are now in Kings Lynn Custody for questioning.”
