Charity-minded staff at Tesco Extra, Wisbech took part in a series of 30-minute challenges over the weekend to raise £567 for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.
Among the challenges that the teams tackled were bike rides, a cage challenge and a selfie challenge – where workers were tasked with getting as many pictures with staff and customers as possible.
Mallissa Russell, who has been community champion since October, said: “I think it’s important to help local and world charities. It’s also good for local people to get active in store and promote being healthy.”
At the start of the challenge, Miss Russell said: “We’re hoping to raise more than £400 over the two days.”
